Post Majority

Young adults may need ongoing support to help them take control of their future with confidence. 

Post-majority care services is a continuum of supports for First Nations youth and young adults formerly in care or in alternate care, to assist them with their transition to adulthood upon reaching the age of majority until they turn 27.  Post-majority services provides youth and young adults with resources to address their distinct needs and self-identified goals in a culturally appropriate manner, as they transition into adulthood.

Eligibility for participation:

  • Between the ages 19-27

  • Been in care for 24+ months

  • Participating in educational/rehabilitation or life skills programming
