  • The Indigenous Women’s Wellness Counsellor provides culturally safe, trauma-informed and strength-based counselling and holistic wellness support to Coast Salish and Nuu Chah Nulth women. This role centers Indigenous knowledge, traditions, and healing practices while supporting clients in areas such as mental health, emotional well-being, family relationships, and community connection.

  • Kw’umut Lelum currently has an Aboriginal Infant Development Program (AIDP) Worker position available, and is looking for an individual that is skilled at working inclusively and respectfully with Indigenous children and families.   • The Stuw’tenum Screener is responsible for receiving, documenting, and assessing reports of suspected child abuse, neglect, or safety concerns. The screener gathers information from reporters, evaluates risk factors, and determines whether the case meets criteria for further investigation or service referral, such as to prevention services. The role requires strong analytical skills, sound judgment, and the ability to handle sensitive and urgent situations.

  • Under the direction of the Resource Team Lead, and in accordance with legislation and the Aboriginal Operational and Practice Standards Indicators (AOPSI), and Agency policies and procedures, the Resource Social Worker is responsible for: recruiting, developing and maintaining a variety of resources in which to place children in care. These resources include a range of foster homes and specialized residential resources, that are responsible for providing not only day-to-day care, but also culturally sensitive services in a holistic way. The position monitors the services provided and liaises with staff that provide family support services or child protection services.

  • Under the supervision of the Office Manager, the Information Systems Specialist will support the technical functions within the Agency. Including:

    • Support IT computer systems functioning, identify and resolve day-to-day problems

    • Consult with IT contractor

    • Assist in service/maintenance of office equipment

    • Assist with the training of staff on computer/phone related functions

  • Using integrated data collection tools (ICM, MIS, Data Warehouse, AIS) and targeted data collection from individual KL staff and program teams to track compliance to practice standards and program goals, and key performance indicators for both delegated and non-delegated programs.

    General Duties and Responsibilities

    Responsible for ensuring that data is collected, stored, and used in a consistent, high-quality, and values-aligned way across the organization. While data governance at the leadership level sets the vision and policies, this position ensures these are applied day to day so that KL’s data can be trusted, understood, and acted upon.

  • Seeking a contract worker for 2 to 5 days per week (up to 35 hours) to transport parents/children to/from supervised access visits and to supervise the visit.

    The successful Applicant will:

    • Apply with a completed Criminal Record Check.

    • Have excellent interpersonal and self-management skills.

    • Possess knowledge of and are willing to work and learn about Coast Salish and Nuu-chah-Nulth cultural values, teachings and protocols.

    • Have previous experience providing services to children and families.

    • Must have and maintain a valid BC Class 5 driver’s license with no restrictions.

    • Availability for some evening and weekend work.

  • Culture/Recreation programming improves holistic health, quality of life and well-being through participation. This position supports Kw’umut Lelum programming by actively supporting, planning, preparing and all other duties associated with cultural team activities. This position will provide support for the recreational and cultural services for children, youth, and community and their support networks. Kw’umut Lelum looks to integrate specific interests, community resources and individual needs into activities which aim to improve functioning and keep children and youth active, balanced, and independent as possible.

  • Hw’iw’tssun’uq (Step Up) is a systematic approach for exploring a youth’s goals across five domains in preparation for adulthood, along with making plans to achieve these goals. The Educational Navigator supports youth ages 15 to 27 in identifying, accessing, and succeeding in educational opportunities. This role involves guiding students or clients through academic pathways, helping them overcome barriers, and connecting them with resources to achieve their personal, educational, and career goals.
