Now Read This!

Reading to and with our children is one of the most important things we can do to develop their literacy skills, and to create lasting bonds between us. There are many reasons to read for them, as mentioned in our previous blog post.

Our librarian friends at Vancouver Island Regional Libraries have helped put together a list of books for children ages 0-8 years that are available to borrow for free from your local branch. Each book features Indigenous authors, themes or worldviews. Click on each image to link to the catalogue listing on the VIRL website.
